I want to buy this, however, without a trailer, how would I get it home? I'll take the chance and drive it all the way to NJ, but I wouldn't have plates on it.

Any suggestions?

EDIT: Never mind. No title. I don't have the patience to deal with the DMV even if this guy says hes an attorney.

Can't the guy just go to the dmv, pay 10 bucks and get a replacement title? That's how it works in Ohio, they'll print up a replacement title in less than 2 minutes. Of course that's after waiting in line for 4 hours.

4 hours? That seems like a short time in DMV time. When ever I go to the DMV, its like the laws of time are bent and distorted so that 1 minute seems like 1 hour. Yes, I hate the DMV (but I'm sure we all do).

I dont know if you would even need to do that... the 6's in those can be lots of fun when done right. Still have to gut it, drop in a roll cage, and put 4 race seats in it though. Just for fun.

True, that would be a lot of $ and more than you probably would pay for the car itself. I didn't think about that considering it was about $350 for a van to move me, round trip, from Blacksburg to Richmond

That's the thing, I wouldn't use it for LeMons. I've wanted to DD an E28 for years, but it would need a more powerful and reliable powerplant than the 130ish HP M30 it came with. I'd love to put an S38 and put it on track to an M5 conversion, but those wouldn't be worth the price.

Take a bus to DC, throw your own plates on it and drive it back without speeding so you don't get nabbed. No title is a problem and always raises red flags but this seems like a NP regardless.

I posted this same car a little over a week ago, and had the title then, but we subsequently had a water leak in the house while away for Christmas and lost nearly all our important documents, including this car's title

I have a VERY hard time believing this. Plus it's in DC so there's probably a body or two in the trunk.
